I looooooved this book! I ate it up! ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I love southern drama and lore. This has it all! Stephanie weaves history and real life events with a touch of humor, the macabre, and muuuuuurrrrrrderrrrrr. The first chapter alone won itself an entire highlighted page in my Kindle app. One liners abound. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I wish I could be friends with Tipsy. Her journey back to independence after divorce is real but fresh and her special abilities are freaking rad. Your views and feelings shift regularly regarding almost all of the characters and at one point I yelled "yeah girl" for Tipsy while I was reading on the treadmill so I’m pretty sure my husband thinks I've entered yet another level of too much self esteem . It all ties together nicely and brings a lovely level of peace and hopefulness to take with you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I initially wanted to compare Stephanie to Sarah Addison Allen as I was reading but I think she's in a class all her own! If you like Allen you will love Steph. All the stars ! I hope there’s more to come soon! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thank you to NetGalley and Stephanie Alexander for my copy in return for an honest review. Y'all know how hard it is to get a 5 star out of me! 5⭐️
