Adrienne's mother Malabar was a food critic and cookbook author but there were no recipes included and the cookbook referred to in the memoir was never published, both of which I can understand. This is why I finagled my own gluten free shenanigan. I did find Malabar's much referred to Power Pack recipe brought to life by the ever genius people at THE BOOK CLUB COOKBOOK

LAND SHARK PASTA

*So named for the weenies circling under the table

Pasta package claims it serves 4, it serves 2.

The meal is quick start to finish.

1 package of Bella Bondonza Green Bean Noodles

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

1/2 cup grated Asiago cheese

3 tablespoons heavy cream

1 cup small "tail-off, salad sized" shrimp

sea salt and ground pepper to taste

If the shrimp has been frozen up to this point it can be put into a colander and set in warm water until thawed. The noodles cook very quickly (5-7 mins) so I recommend having the cheese grated and the cream set out to adjust to room temp in order to make it easier to fold in

This memoir is as good as fiction. Adrie
