Jocelyn’s beloved nanny disappears without warning and returns 30 years later under very suspicious circumstances. What in the world just happened? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I knew there was going to be more than one twist but I didn’t quite predict the correct ones. I’m not sure if it was the book or me that was meh but I don’t know that I ever bought in completely. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

There was a backstory that could have been tied in more. Incidents that could have been scarier. I wanted it to go The Good Son (1993 movie) style and it had the potential. I doubt anyone has ever said this but instead of more cowbell (Will Ferrell) it needed some more gas-lighting. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This has had some really good reviews so don’t let my need for more drama run you off. It’s a solid story.
