Wild Game

This memoir is a good starting point for me and my little blog adventure. It's about food and it's real but it is as good as fiction. Adrienne’s childhood was a blur of charisma, glamour, and shaky morals. In a time when children were latchkey kids and generally approached with a more relaxed “you don’t need a seatbelt” vibe it must have been easier for her mother to treat her as an equal and accomplice. I still can’t imagine it happening on a scale of this magnitude but immaturity and love make people do some weird things. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I love its look at all kinds of relationships and the unchallengeable need to please or be a part of a parent’s life. I’m a sucker for seaside life and I also like to cook so the descriptions and cookbook collaboration that held this group together (very The Big Chill-esqu) was an added bonus. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

*Please note the wild land sharks (AKA Chewie and Stella) churning below my dinner. Hop over to the food section to check out the dish!
